James M Riley is the son of William Riley and Mary Ann Mcilvaine Riley. In a family memoir to a grandchild giving a Riley/McIlvaine history, William Andrew Riley, born 21 Oct 1845, the son of William b 5 April 1811 and wife Mary Blair in St Louis MO, gives that this James M Riley born 9 Nov 1805, who is his uncle, "Went to Missouri, married in 1847 and died 26 Nov 1848 at St Louis and is buried at Belfontaine Cemetery. His widow married a man by the name of Dutcher."
