The numerous friends of the Buery family will be sorry to learn of the death of George Buery which occurred at his home in St. Johns, Oregon, Saturday, May 18. Mr. Buery came to Renville county with his parents in 1859, residing on the old homestead north of town until he reached manhood. He was married to Miss Maggie Miller in 1887, and leaves to mourn him, besides his wife, a son and two daughters. Mr. Buery will best be remembered by Morton residents as conducting a store in this village for several years, leaving here about fifteen years ago for Oregon. He has a brother, Henry, of Morton and several sisters residing in this state.
