Veda Mathis Berger passed away on December 16, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born March 9, 1925 to J.T. Akery Mathis and Sallie Jones in Whittier, North Carolina. Married Robert Arthur Berger on November 26, 1957 in Elko, Nevada. Veda was the owner/operator of Berger Storage. She was a Huntsman World Senior Games gold medalist in horseshoes. She loved hunting, golfing and sewing. She also enjoyed singing and playing her guitar. Survived by her husband; children, Butch Pryor (Sydney), Robert L., Tawni Porter (Ralph); six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Preceded in death by one daughter Georgetta, 4 sisters and two brothers.
