Mrs. Elva M. Heuermann, widow of Fredrick W. Heuermann and a former, longtime resident of the Philips community, died early this morning in the family home at 711 North Wheeler (Grand Island). Mrs. Heuermann was 94 years of age and had been in ill health for many months.

Mrs. Heuermann was born Dec. 12, 1866, in Washington County, Neb., to Silas and Mary Masters. She attended school in the community of her birth. Mr. and Mrs. Heuermann were married April 5, 1892, at Norfolk in the home of her brother. Mr. and Mrs. Heuerman moved to Hamilton County to a farm near Phillips. Mr. Heuermann was a general farmer and stockman. He and Mrs. Heuermann were successful in their farming venture and it was possible for them to retire from the farm in the winter of 1935 and move to the present home on North Wheeler.

Mr. Heuermann died April 13, 1938. From that time, Mrs. Heuermann had continued to maintain the family home with the company of her daughter, Miss Mary Heuermann.

Mrs. Heuermann is survived by her daughter, Miss Mary Heuermann; one son, William W. Heuermann of Grant; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. William W. Heuermann of Grant and Mrs. Maggie Heuermann of Phillips; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Bernard B. Heuermann and Edward Heuermann, and five brothers, Squire W. Masters, Clark Masters, Parker W. Masters, Osker P. Masters and Harvery W. Masters.
