Mr. Brown died on Friday, June 20, 1986 at the Stacyville Nursing Home.
He was born on June 17, 1906 in Stacyville, Iowa, to Valentine and Ida (Smith) Brown. He and Margaret Gaffey of Riceville were married on June 19, 1929. Mr. Brown farmed in the Stacyville area and in the 1950's formed Brown Construction, a farm drainage company.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; two daughters, Mrs. Joe (Charlene) King of Independence, and Mrs. Dominic (Judy) Wilko; two sons, James C. of Plymouth, Minnesota, and Richard of Stacyville; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Belle Keitges of Lincoln, Nebraska, Mrs. Irmine Olsen of Wahoo, Nebraska, Mrs. Gus (Leona) Neuhaus of Mason City, and Mrs. Roy (Dorothy) Wageman of Stacyville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Anne Guffey and one brother, Walter.
