Born in Bunker Hill, W.Va. he was the son of the late David and Nora Vanhorn Gageby.
Mr. Gageby was employed with Musselman Fruit Products for 42 years. He retired in 1978.
He is survived by his wife, Lila May Billmyer Gageby who he married Dec. 8 1945. Other survivors include a daughter, Beverly A. Gageby of Columbia, Md; a son John D. Gageby of Gettysburg R.7; three grandchildren; a sister, Ira Mae Coffinberger of Martinsburg, W.Va; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed bowling.
Burial will be in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Gerrardstown, W.Va.
