Gary Lee Adams beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2009.

He was born on January 8, 1939 to Dallas Cornaby Adams and Marie Isaac Adams in Ogden, Utah. His parents preceded him in death as did his step mother Betty Adams, and one grandson, Peter Grant Farnworth. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Cara Jean Dayton Adams. Two brothers, Dallas Richard Adams (Barbara), Robert Isaac Adams (Sharon). One sister, Sharon England (Lee). One step brother, Don Smith, and one step sister Barbara Perkins. Three children Marie Michael Farnworth (Neal), Stephanie Weber (Scott), and Gary Steven Adams (Amy), and eleven grandchildren.

He served for four years in the United States Air Force serving in Texas, Montana, Labrador, and California. His occupation after Military Service was as a Fireman for the Petaluma Fire Department in Petaluma, California. Gary and Cara Jean raised their family in Sonoma County, California. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints where he served in many callings including High Council Member and Home Teacher.

Gary's life was one of giving service to others. He could be likened unto a giant oak whose roots were strong and deep, and whose branches offered refreshing protection to his family and others. He was an awesome husband, son, father, grandfather, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him and felt of his love.

Gary was the recipient of a kidney transplant few years ago which gave him years of quality life that could not be experienced any other way. Heartfelt thanks goes to the family of his donor, and he encourages all to support The Kidney Donor Program.

Funeral services will by Monday, July 27th at the Mountain View Stake Center 75 So. 600 East, Payson, Ut. at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing prior to the services from 9:45 to 10:45. There will also be a viewing Sunday Evening July 26th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Walker Mortuary 587 South 100 West, Payson. Ut. Burial will be at the Salem City Cemetery, Salem, Ut.
