He came to Licking County in 1933 from Whitmer, W. Va., but was born in Harman, W. Va., Jan. 15, 1866.
His wife, Mrs. Millie Alice Nelson, died April 19, 1942, and two daughters and seven sons survive: Kemp Nelson, of the home, Edward, of Lovers Lane Road, Frank, of Newark, Martin, of Akron, Walter, and Barton, of Cass, W. Va., Jesse Nelson, of Hebron, Mrs. Otis J. Arbaugh, of Newark, and Mrs. P. C. Harsh, of Parsons, W. Va.
He also leaves 23 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Nelson was the last of his immediate family.
A son, three daughters and a brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Methodist Church in Whitmer, W. Va., and burial will be made in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received at Criss Brothers funeral hone until 4 p.m. Sunday when the body will be sent to the Runner funeral home in Elkins, W. Va.
