Edward Marshall Cobb was born in Alamance County, NC to Annie Sue Teague and Herman Gattis Cobb. He was married for 62 years to Arteil Aldridge. During World War II he drove a tank for the U.S. Army as part of the Battery C 33 Field Artillery Battalion. After the war he worked for May Hosiery Mill and Burlington Industries at the J. Spencer Love plant. He was a member of Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church and had served as the church clerk. He was an avid golfer with three (3) holes-in-one and was known to shoot his age. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
