ROY - Darrell N. Carbine, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at his home. He was born on April 23, 1928 in Kaysville, Utah, to Ida LaVon Jones and Joseph Carabini.

On August 19, 1949, Darrell married Helen Arave; later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple on March 3, 2011.

Darrell retired from the Union Pacific Railroad. He also worked at HAFB as a Security Officer and has been a self-employed barber for over 60 years.

He served his country in the USMC and was honorably discharged.

Surviving are his two daughters, Sherlene (Ray) Hillan and Krisann (Derek) Simonsen; four grandchildren: Nicholas Duff, Julia Duff, Shelby Hillan and Brodie Hillan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; parents; sister, Madeline Philpott, and brother, Dale Joesten.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W., where a viewing will be held on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:45 to 10: 45 a.m. prior to services.

Interment, Roy City Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded.
