Jane (Kneeland) Goepfert, 93, beloved wife of the late Dr. George J. Goepfert, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at the Ledgewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beverly. Born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd R. and Agnes E. (Pyper) Kneeland. She earned her bachelor's degree with honors in chemistry from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. A longtime resident of the Syracuse, NY area, she was a member of the College Club in Niagara Falls, NY, a member and past president of the American Association of University Women in Cincinnati, OH from 1955 to 1957, the American Red Cross in Cincinnati, OH, past President of the Civil Social Club in Syracuse, NY from 1975 to 1976 and was a former board member of the Corinthian Club in Syracuse. She is survived by her brother, David R. Kneeland of Manchester, MA; a grandson, John T. Goepfert; a great-grandson, Devon Henderson, and several nieces and nephews, including Robin Willcox of Hamilton, MA and Beth Pickett of Camarillo, CA. She was also the mother of the late George Anthony Goepfert and sister of the late Lloyd E. Kneeland and the late Paul F. Kneeland. Her funeral services will be private. Arrangements by the Campbell - Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly.
