Mary Alvey Ryan, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2000. Mary is survived by her son, Walter H. Ryan and his wife, Arlene of Longmont, CO, daughters, Loretta R. Tavelli and her husband, Richard, Margaret R. Cano and her husband, Ernie all of Albuquerque, grandchildren, Dan and his wife, Darin and his wife, Andrew, Ashley, Larissa and Christopher, all of Albuquerque, sister, Helen Roggow and one great-granddaughter. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Julian F. Ryan of Albuquerque. Mary was an active member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Parish for many years. Mary was employed by and also a longtime volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital for many years. Mary moved to Las Vegas, NM with her parents and then to Albuquerque where she has lived for 60 years. Mary was a Master Gardener and Quilter and she enjoyed playing bridge and traveling. Mary loved her children and grandchildren dearly. Services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd., with Father Dennis Garcia officiating. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE.
