Mrs. Adeline BROKER, 81, formerly of Two Rivers, died Saturday morning, June 4, at Park Lawn Nursing Home, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. John Neuser will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Mrs. BROKER was born July 31, 1901, at Two Rivers, daughter of the late Mathias HAAG and Anna SCHRIMPF. She attended Two Rivers schools. She was employed at General Telephone Company as an operator and later was employed at Hamilton Manufacturing Company as a receptionist until her retirement.

She married Roland BROKER on 27 June 1923 at Two Rivers.

Mrs. BROKER was a member of Two Rivers Senior Citizens and the ladies of St. Luke.

Her survivors include a son and daughter-in-law; four daughters and sons-in-law; a brother, Roy HAAG of Manitowoc; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Florence and Oscar SINCOULAR of Two Rivers, and Carol and Clarence BOEDER of Manitowoc, 24 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Adeline was the daughter of Mathias HAAG (1848-1931) and Annie SCHRIMPF ( -1937).
Her father was a native of Wisconsin and was the son of New York natives. Her mother was a native of Wisconsin and her parents were natives of New York.

She was born at Two Rivers, Manitowoc Co., Wisconsin, on 31 July 1901; died at Park Lawn Nursing Home, Manitowoc, Manitowoc Co., Wisconsin, on 4 July 1983, aged 81 years; was buried there at Calvary Cemetery 7 July 1983 [Wisc. Births State Index Pre-1907, microfiche; Two Rivers, Bur. Rec., 4801; Her Obituary; Soc. Sec. Recs., issued Wisc., CD-Rom; g.s.].

Adeline was born and raised at Two Rivers. Adeline attended public schools there and worked as an operator for GTE and Hamilton Manufacturing Co.

She was enumerated there on 22nd St. with her parents and sisters Emina and Florence in 1910, where her father was a brewery deliveryman. In 1920, Adeline resided at home with her parents on 2308 Jefferson St., where she was a clerk at an Aluminum goods Mfg. Co. [1920 Manitowoc Co. Dir., p. ].

Adeline, Roland, and their children, Lois, and Glen were enumerated at Two Rivers, Wisconsin in 1930, living in the same house at 1801 29th St., as his mother and siblings Henry, Eva, Wilfred, and Mary [1930 US Census]. At that time, Roland worked as a machinist at the Aluminum plant.

Between 1935 and 1940, Roland worked as an engineer at Two Rivers High School, residing at 1715 20th St., Two Rivers [Birth certificate for daus. Gail, Jean Carole, and Judith Lynn].

Her funeral, held at St. Luke Catholic Church, was officiated by Rev. John NEUSER.

The marriage of Miss Adeline Haag, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Haag, 2308 Jefferson St., and Roland Brocher, son of Mrs. H.P. Brocher, was solemnized at St. Luke's church Wednesday morning, Rev. C.V. Hugo officiating. The attending couple was Miss Florence Haag, sister of the bride and Henry Brocher, brother of the bridegroom. The bride looked charming in a comely grey silk frock while the bridesmaid was attired in lavender organdy. A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents. Only immediate relatives attended the reception. The bride is a young lady of pleasing personality, with a large circle of friends. The groom is employed in the Aluminum Goods industry. The newlyweds departed on a three weeks honeymoon trip to St. Cloud and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Upon their return they will make their home on the northside.
