LTjg Travis M. Douglas, USN,
age 32, of Newmarket, New Hampshire, was a passenger and killed in a car accident Saturday, December 10, 2011 in Hampton, NH. He was born in Louisville, KY. on May 22, 1979 and is a 1997 graduate of Scott County High School in Georgetown, KY. In June of 1997, he entered the Navy where he reported to Nuclear Machinists mate "A" school in Orlando, Florida for his initial training. The United States Navy took Travis aboard the USS Louisianna in 1999, and to Hawaii, aboard the USS La Holla from 2003 to 2005, where he served as the machinery Division Leading Petty Officer. In 2006, Travis was selected to report to the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command in Charleston, SC where he mentored and taught enlisted sailors the fundamentals of Nuclear Power. On April 1, 2009, he was commisioned as an Ensign via the Limited Duty Officer program where only the best-of-the-best enlisted sailors are selected. Eventually, Travis was hand selected by the Director of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program to serve as his assistant to the Naval Reactors Representative at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

Travis is survived by his three beautiful children, son, Brennan Douglas; twin daughters, Reagan and Ryleigh Douglas; mother, Julianna Cecil; brother, Jordan Stallard; sister, Mary Stallard; step-father, Doug Stallard; grandparents, Clyde Cecil, Dot Stallard, and Shirley Douglas.

A FuneraI Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2011 at st. Charles Catholic Church, officiated by Rev. Jim Graf. Interment will be in the St. Charles Church Cemetery.

Visistations will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, at Bosley Funeral Home, with a prayer service Thursday evening by Deacon Joe Dant.
