Julie was a lifelong resident of Belvidere, Illinois. She attended Belvidere High School. In addition to being a good student, she was a cheerleader and also participated in Student Council,Pep Club (Vice-President), B-Club (Honorary Member), Focus '76- Delegate Chairperson (mock political convention), Class Officer (Vice-President in her Junior year), Acappella, Freshman Girls Chorus, Treble Clef chorus(President) and in homecoming court. In her senior year, her fellow students elected her as homecoming queen. She graduated from Belvidere High School with the class of 1977.
She attended Eastern Illinois University for a year where in addition to her studies, she helped her fellow classmates with their hair. Always an outgoing and friendly person, she found her true calling. She left college and trained to be a beautician. She was a hairdresser at Julia's Hair Salon in Belvidere.
Julie lived a very full life and had many interests such as boating, gardening, baking and volunteering at the local elementary school.
Without a doubt, Julie was extremely well liked by her peers and loved by her family. She was known for her beauty and for her trademark smile, but external beauty was only one component of this very deep, spiritual individual. She showed great kindness to all those around her as well as a pleasant disposition and a gentle sense of humor (and never at the expense of another person).
A woman who loved the Lord, Julie was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She was survived by her husband, son, two brothers, one sister, her parents, three grandparents and many other relatives and friends.
