GILLS-HOUSE, BILLIE JOYCE JOLLY Billie Joyce Jolly Grills-House, age 81, of Hoover, was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior Tuesday, December 13, 2011. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was loved by all and respected and adored by all that knew her. She was dedicated to her Lord and Savior and her family. She laughed much and complained little. She always treated people of any walk in life with respect, love and caring. She will be missed by all that knew her. She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Helen Jolly of Birmingham; husband, Robert Edwin Grills of Hoover; second husband, Henry Franklin "Pig" House, Jr. of Mt. Brook; and brother, James Ernest Jolly of Birmingham. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Grills Harris (Edward) of Vestavia Hills; son, Robert Mickey Grills (Laura) of Sterrett, AL; grandchildren, Robert Scott Harris (Beth), Dena Harris Richards (Brian), Owen Edward Harris, and Mary Helen Harris; great grandchildren, Jada Reese Harris, Sawyer Grills Harris, and Julia Hannah Harris; siblings Mary Carroll Jolly Kizziah, Ernestine Jolly Kay, Ann Jolly Baker (Jerry), and John Wallace "Jack" Jolly (Carol); special cousin Gerry Lefoy Rogers (Don); and a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Billie was born in Sandusky, AL where she attended Minor High School and was an active member of Sandusky United Methodist Church and an active member of the neighborhood where she met her husband Robert Edwin Grills and moved to Hoover, AL. She became a very active member of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church and Hoover Country Club (then Green Valley), and was a member of the Hoover Ladies Golf Association for over 50 years. She was an avid golfer, bowler and bridge player. She and her husband Ed supported the Country Club through many of the growing years. She is now in a better place and Heaven is better with her there. But all of her family and friends will miss her. The Lord told us in John 14, "My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?" We all know Billie is preparing a place for us also. The visitation and funeral services will be at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL on Friday December 16th, 2011. The family will receive friends from 11 am until 1 pm, with a funeral service at 1 pm. Burial will follow.
