Gregory Thomas Hanlon, of Sedalia, died Jul 8, 2005 at Bothwell Regional Health Center.
He was born Dec 11, 1962, in Chicago, IL, a son of John Edward and Margaret Frances Hellebusch Hanlon. On Feb 10, 1990, he was married to Denise Ann Buso, who survives.
Mr Hanlon was an active member of Sacred Heart Church. He was a 1981 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. He was employed by Prudential Financial Services for 14 years.
He was a volunteer with the Sedalia Area Dream Factory and served as area coordinator from 1995 through 2004. He received the organization's highest honor as National Volunteer of the Year in 2002.
Because of his dedication to the organization, he also received Prudential CARES Volunteer Grants totaling more than $18,000, which he contributed to the Dream Factory. In his 12 years of volunteer service to the Dream Factory he personally handled 43 of the 167 dreams granted to area children.
Also surviving are two daughters, Alyssa Marie Hanlon and Alexis Renee Hanlon; his parents; three brothers, Mark Edward Hanlon, of Jefferson City, Daniel Patrick Hanlon and Michael Christopher Hanlon, both of Sedalia; and a sister, Cheryl Beykirch Buckley, of Sedalia.
Pallbearers were Mark Hanlon, Daniel Hanlon, Michael Hanlon, James P Buckley, Joe Beykirch and David Thompson.
