Gary Lee "Bubbsy" Adams, 49, of Moberly, died Tuesday, December 13, 2011, at his home. He had been in failing health. Gary Lee was born August 17, 1962, in Marceline, to Oliver Lee and Alice S. (Burkhart) Adams. Prior to his medical retirement he worked as a maintenance of way foreman for Norfolk and Southern Railroad for 30 years. He married Malinda Sharp on May 16, 1981, in Clark, MO, and she survives. Also surviving are his children, Kristy Sparks and husband Jeff of Brunswick, Jason Adams and wife Ashley of Keytesville, Mattie Canady and husband Justin of Moberly; seven grandchildren, Courtney, Kelsey, James, Jayce, Desirae, Jaden, and Caden; his parents, Oliver and Alice Adams of Moberly; a sister, Sherry Dyke and husband Chad of Moberly; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gary was a 4-H leader for the Randolph County area for many years, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by an infant son, William A. Adams; a brother, Clarence Adams; and grandparents, Clarence and Stella Adams and George and Dorothy Burkhart. Memorials to Randolph County 4-H would be appreciated. Services will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at Cater Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Cater Funeral Home.
