Douglas L. Pope, 43, of 34 Hurst Rd., Deerhurst, died Saturday at home after a long illness. He was a lab technician at the Du Pont Co.'s Experimental Station for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Frances G.; two daughters, Sharon Louise and Carol Ann, both at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Pope, of Okeene, Okla.; and two brothers, Jay W., of Longbeach, Cal., and Richard L. of Waycross, Ga.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 at the Bethel Baptist Church, 1217 Wilson Rd. Friends may call tomorrow night at the McCrery Memorial Chapel, 3924 Concord Pike, Talleyville, where Masonic services will be held at 7:30. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund, 1217 Wilson Rd., Wilmington.
