Born Jan 7, 1930 Springville, to Mark L. and Norma Snell Oakley. Married Helen Mattinson June 26, 1953, Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Letter-day Saints. Employee, Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Co. Elder LDS Church. Member Utah National Guard, 12 years.
Survivors: widow; son, daughters, Jon Bart, LeeAnn, Lisa Lou, all Mapleton; mother, Springville; two brothers, Arlend, Springville; Arvid, LDS mission in Uruguay; two sisters, Mrs. Walt (Marion) Bigler, Monterey, Calif.; Mrs. Kent (Julie) Barney, Spanish Fork.
Funeral Friday 1 p.m., Mapleton LDS Ward Chapel. Friends call Wheeler Mortuary, Springville, Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. Friday prior to service. Burial Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
