Funeral services for Louis C. Weinheimer, 74, were held Friday, Dec. 17, 1965, at 3:45 p.m. in the Schaetter Funeral Home and at 4 p.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. W. W. Schneider officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Weinheimer died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 8:35 a.m. at the Fredericksburg Hospital and Clinic.
He was a native of Fredericksburg and was born here on Sept. 24, 1891, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Weinheimer. He was married to Erna Clara Meckel on May 1, 1917. She preceded him in death on June 25, 1944.
Weinheimer was for many years a retail store clerk in Fredericksburg and was the first to establish a launderette in the community.
He is survived by the following children: Dorothea, Mrs. John Cotter, San Antonio; Louis Weinheimer Jr., San Antonio; Margaret, Mrs. W. T. Hollinger, Pasadena, Calif.; John "Zeo" Weinheimer, Fredericksburg.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and the following brothers and sisters; Emil, Benno and Oscar; Alma, Mrs. Ed. Nixon, all of Fredericksburg; Hulda, Mrs. R. T. Dubose, Dallas; and Adela, Mrs. C. J. Dooley, Fredericksburg.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Margaret Weinheimer; a child who died in infancy; two brothers, Alfred and Armand, who died in infancy.
Pallbearers at his rites were: Chester Schmidt, Paul Weber, Hilmar Stehling, Paul Weinheimer, Fred Kraus and Clarence Schaetter.
