She attended Monticello Seminary and the House in the Pine. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. Surviving are one brother, Thomas C. Smith Jr. of Springfield. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Oak Ridge Cemetery, with the Very Rev. Hobart Hiestand officiating.
