Graveside services for O.B. Clifton, 82, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at College Station Cemetery.

The Rev. Tim Owens and Owen Clifton will officiate.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

Mr. Clifton died Sunday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.

He was born in Hopkins County and lived in Bryan since 1961. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, flying 67 missions as a fighter pilot. He earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal for bravery.

He received a doctorate from Texas A&M University and worked in the administration of the extension service since 1948. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bryan and was a member of Sul Ross Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Clifton of Bryan; three sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Guy L. and Karen Clifton of Houston, Gaylon and Edith Clifton of Tyler and Leslie C. and Lucy Clifton of La Grange; a brother, Buel Clifton of Llano; a sister, Ava Lacefield of Irving; and 11 grandchildren.
