Jack Farrell Hawkins returned to our Heavenly Father on July 10, 1995, at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City, after a prolonged illness.

Born March 31, 1932, in Montrose, Colorado to Clarence M. and Francis Brown Hawkins. Jack and his family moved to Utah in 1942. He worked at Kennecott Copper for 35 years. Served in the U.S. Army for two years, and was a Korean veteran. He was a member of VFW Post 4355, and was All State Post Commander. Jack was also a member of the American Legion Post 119. Jack was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Salt Lake City for many years.

Jack is survived by one brother and two sisters, Marion Eugene Hawkins of Nebraska; Veda D. Thomas of South Dakota; and Edna Mae Zeimet of California; also 23 nephews and nieces, and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Lon Everett; sisters, Eulah Pearl Grubb and Hazel M. Phillips.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 14, at the First United Methodist Church, 203 South 200 East. Friends may call at Evans & Early Mortuary, 574 East 100 South, Thursday 7-8 p.m. Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Estates. Funeral directors, Evans & Early.
