Winton--Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Atwater Chapel of Ivers and Alcorn Funeral Home for Etta L. Poe, 80, a retired cannery worker who died Wednesday in a Chowchilla hospital. The Rev. Charles B. Scott of Pentecostal Church of God in Winton will officiate, along with the Rev. Johnny F. Hilton of Gospel Defenders Church. Burial will be in Winton District Cemetery. Born June 13, 1905 in Danville, Ark., Mrs. Poe lived in Winton since 1933. She was a member of Pentecostal Church of God and was active in Winton Cherish. Survivors include three daughters, Syble Arms of San Pablo, Delores Norman of Winton and Hazel Beers of Portland, Ore; three sisters, Edith Wilkerson of Merced, Mae Tucker of Arkansas and Mildred Cousin of Oklahoma; a brother, Archie Barrick of Yuba City; 12 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Poe, in 1975 and a son, Joe Poe, in 1980. Friends may call tonight after 5 at the funeral home.
