MRS. ETHEL WOOFTER DIES IN HOSPITAL

Mrs. Ethel Woofter of 3907 Staunton Avenue died Sunday afternoon in a Charleston hospital. She was 76 years of age.

She was the widow of Ellet Woofter, for 23 years an employee of the South Penn Oil Company.

Mrs. Woofter was born on Duck creek, Harrison county, September 6, 1870, and had lived in Charleston since 1903. She was a member of the Baptist Temple.

Survivors include a brother, Samuel West of Glenville; three daughters, Mrs. Frederick Thomas, Mrs. Mark R. Beazley and Miss Marlan Woofter, all of Charleston; five grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held in Bartlett chapel Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. E. M. Austin, pastor of the Baptist Temple, officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Six nephews will be pallbearers.
