Charles Wayne Huitt, age 63 of Little Rock, Arkansas died on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 11:30 pm after a difficult fight with an aggressive liver cancer.

He was born on April 11, 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas as the third and youngest son of James W. and Billie Jean Huitt.

On October 17, 1969, he married his lovely wife Patricia (Patti) Ann Griffin and was a devoted husband of 42 years. He had two children, Heather Christine and Charles (Griff) Griffin.

Wayne enjoyed coaching his children and other youth on the baseball field. Wayne worked at Arkansas Power & Light for more than 30 years and worked at Barloworld Handling for over 15 years. He was an active member of Reynolds Baptist Church. Wayne followed the Razorbacks closely and other sports, enjoyed time on the golf course, and was a loyal assistant to the Mayor of Fourche Dam.

He is preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother and brothers, Larry and Myron (and wife, Sue) Huitt; his wife Patti; his two children, Heather (and husband, Brad) and Griff (and wife, Tiffany); his two grandchildren, Dylan Jacob (age 5) and MaxAllen Charles (age 6); and extended family that includes many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many other friends who shared life with Wayne.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15 at 6:00 PM.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 16 at 2:00 PM.

Both the visitation and funeral service will be held at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th. St., Little Rock, AR Alexander, AR 72002.
