Ella was a daughter of the late Edward E. Lahey and Ella Emma Gruman.

"Ella L. Eggers, age 94, a resident of the Hamilton Home, Two Rivers, died Monday, January 15, 2001, at the home. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2001, at Our Savior Ev. Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Louis Sievert will officiate with burial at Pioneers Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers. She was born September 5, 1906, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Edward E. and Ella Gruman Lahey. Ella was a graduate of Washington High School, Two Rivers, class of 1925. On November 12, 1932, she married George W. Eggers, in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death April 6, 1986. She was a life long resident of Two Rivers. She was employed in the bookkeeping dept. at Hamilton Industries, J.C. Penneys and the City Bakery and was a member of Our Savior Ladies Guild. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law (names omitted for privacy); a daughter-in-law; nine grandchildren (names omitted for privacy); 16 grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Ruth Lahey, Eaton, Ohio; one sister, Gertrude Weiss, Manitowoc. She was preceded in death by a son, John Eggers; two brothers, Walter and Edward Lahey; three sisters, Nora Schmeichel, Myrtle Brocher, Augusta Lahey; and an infant sister, Ann. Friends may call at Our Savior Ev. Lutheran Church, on Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Ella loved being a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother and great grandmother She also liked playing cards with her friends and loved music. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Memorials may be made to Our Savior Ev. Lutheran Church.
