George Weilep Eggers, 85, of 2710 Monroe St., Two Rivers, died Sunday, April 6, at the Two Rivers Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers. Rev. Robert Sullivan will officiate. Mr. Eggers was born May 18, 1900 at Kewaunee, son of the late George and Sadie Weilep Eggers. Mr. Eggers was a member of a pioneer Two Rivers family. He served in the United States Navy during world War I. He married Ella Lahey on November 12, 1932, at Two Rivers. Mr. Eggers was a long time employee of Eggers Industry, retiring in 1966. He was a member of the Two Rivers Senior Citizens. Survivors include his wife, Ella; a son and daughter-in-law; two daughters and a son-in-law; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Radelmiller of Cocoa, Florida; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and two step-brothers. Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, 5 pm to 9 pm Tuesday. The casket will remain closed. He was long-time employee of Eggers Industry (a veneer works) at Two Rivers, retiring in 1966. He enjoyed using veneer to make furniture and toys.
