Mr. Dicke was born 29 Jan. 1820 in Stolzenau, Prov., Hanover. He came to America in 1846 and to Wisconsin in 1847.
For a short while he worked in Cedarburg, Sheboygan Falls, Two Rivers and Kewaunee, finally settling in the vicinity of Two Rivers.
He was married in 1850 to Marie Hemschemeyer, a marriage that produced 2 sons and 2 daughters. One of the daughters died in 1869, leaving his widow and the other 3 children to survive him. The deceased was an uncle of Mr. W. Dicke of Manitowoc.
His funeral was Tues. at the Lutheran Church in Two Rivers.

Diedrich was born at Hannover, Germany 31 January 1820; died at Two Rivers, 2 March 1895 [Falge, vol. II, p. 396-9].
He immigrated to New York in 1846, removed to St. Louis and Chicago, and to Two Rivers, by 1850.
Diedrich and his wife, Maria had been sweethearts in Germany.
