Lenus Stehle, 82, of 1701 24th St., Two Rivers, died Wednesday afternoon, April 16 at home. Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday at Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. Robert Sullivan will officiate and burial will be in Pioneers Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mr. Stehle was born Sept. 14, 1903, at Two Rivers, son of the late William and Elizabeth Grumann Stehle. He attended Two Rivers Public School and High School and graduated from Oshkosh Normal School. He was employed at Mirro Aluminum for many years as Head of Stock Department retiring at age 65. He married Effie LeMahieu, April 27, 1935 at Kohler, Wis. She preceded him in death July 22, 1976.
Mr. Stehle was Treasurer of Two Rivers Day Care Center for 12 years and Treasurer of Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church for 16 years. Mr. Stehle was a past member of the church council, a member of Lutheran Brotherhood of the church and a member of Finance Committee for many years.
Survivors include a son, William of Milwaukee; a daughter, Miss Jane Stehle of Two Rivers and three grandchildren. There will be no Thursday evening visitation at Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers. Published in The Manitowoc Herald Times, Thursday, April 17, 1986, page 22.
