Asa Diehl died last Monday morning, October 1, at his home on South Richard street, death being due to a stroke. He was born January 14, 1846, at Charlesville. His parents were Jonas and Hannah (Exline) Diehl, long since deceased. On August 21, 1875, he was married to Jennie Dunkle who survives along with one sister, Mrs. Jno Cessna, of Altoona. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the residence conducted by Rev. J. Albert Eyler of the Reformed Church of which he was a member for years.Mr. Diehl was a member of the Schellburg I. O. O. F. Lodge.
