A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Scully was a medical administrator for 17 years for the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Gainesville. Before his death, he was Chief of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Dublin, Georgia.
He was a Baptist.
His survivors include his wife, Dorothy Pringle Scully of Dublin, Georgia; two daughters, Melinda Anne Scully of Gainesville and Kimberly Scully of Dublin; two step-daughters, Julie Youngblood and Candi Grant, both of Gainesville; his mother, Dorothy Corcoran Scully of Gainesville; and a brother, Robert Edward Scully of Gainesville.
