Gertrude Spencer, 66, of 2224 North Travis, died at 1:15 a.m. today in Cox Medical Center following a lingering illness.
A lifelong resident of Springfield, she was the widow of Jesse O. Spencer, who died in March of this year. She was a member of East Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Martha Perkins, and Mrs. Jane Perkins; one sister, Mrs. Grace Brunner, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
