Rev. Dr. Lester Frank Sumrall was the sixth of eight children born to Betty and George William Sumrall. Lester's father, George was born in Mississippi and Lester's mother, Bettie Chandler, was born in Alabama. Lester's siblings were:

Lester was ordained in 1932, a Minister Of The Gospel.
He married Louise Layman September 30, 1944. She was a missionary in Argentina. Together, they had three sons, Rev. Stephen; Rev. Frank and Rev. Peter Sumrall.
In 1957, Dr. Sumrall founded the Lester Sumrall Evangelistic Association, known as LeSea Ministries, it operates 11 TV Stations; many FM and AM Radio Stations; a Satellite Ministry and in 1987, Feed The Hungry.
www.lesea.org∼Lester Sumrall of South Bend, Ind., founder of LeSEA Broadcasting Inc. which owns and operates KWHE TV-14 in Honolulu, KWHH TV-14 in Hilo and KWHM TV-21 in Wailuku, died April 28 in Indiana.
Sumrall, 83, a worldwide missionary, wrote more than 130 books and teaching study guides. He also was the publisher of the World Harvest Magazine.
Born in New Orleans, he is survived by sons Frank, Stephen and Peter.
