OBITUARY

JAMES PATTON

J.N. Patton, aged 79, died Sunday night in Portales, New Mexico. It was learned here today. The body will be brought here to Frisco for interment. Funeral arrangements had not been completed this afternoon.

J.N. (Uncle Jim) Patton, who was visiting his daughter H.B. Morin in Portales, N.M. was brought home a corpse the 29th of August and laid to rest by the side of his wife, who preceeded him to the great beyond several years ago. He had been in New Mexico about two months and apparently in his usual health when he retired and when the family called him for breakfast, they found that he had passed away during the night. Uncle Jim had lived here many years coming here from Arkansas in old Territory days. He leaves five children. Mrs. H.B. Morin of Portales, N.M.; Will of Sweatwater, Texas; Pat of Alex, Okla.; and S.E. Patton and Mrs. William Alexander of Frisco. He was a member of the Baptist Church and an Oddfellow and was laid to rest by his brother members of his beloved lodge.
