Actress. She starred in the 1959 to 1960 television series “Bold Venture”. She made 10 feature films including 1961’s "Homicidal” with William Castle. Billed as ‘Jean Arless’, she played two roles one as a male. Married to film director Hal Ashby, her life was turned into the 1975 film “Shampoo”. She was originally cast as ‘Phoebe Munster’ in the test pilot episode of “The Munsters”, but was replaced by Yvonne DeCarlo because network executives thought Marshall's ‘Phoebe’ was too much like Morticia Addams. Shemoved to Jamaica where she died in 1992. Her ashes were spread under her favorite tree on her property.
