Penny Lea Mourey Elzey of Fairdale, Ky., returned to her Heavenly Father Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011. She was 50.
Born Aug. 5, 1961, she was the daughter of Paul R. and Bonny Lea (Lease) Shepherd.
Ms. Elzey was a former tractor/trailer driver and a bus driver.
She was Methodist by faith.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Steven Mourey; daughter-in-law, Karla Caldwell; fiancé, Buddy Sharp; sister, Dawn Berold; brother, Richard Shepherd; precious granddaughter, Haylie Mourey; and many other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Scarpelli Funeral Home, Cresaptown, Md., with the Rev. Hal Atkins officiating. Friends will be received from noon until the hour of the service.
