Mrs. Rachel Augusta Miller, 75, of Elida, died at 11:05 a.m. Sunday in St. Rita's Hospital following a one-year illness. She had been seriously ill two months.

She was born in Allen County near Allentown and had been a lifelong resident of that area. She was married in January, 1912, to Amos Miller, who died in 1954.

Surviving are three sons, Carl, Route 2, Elida; Ross, Route 2, Elida, and Rev. Robert Miller, Norwood; three daughters, Mrs. Dwight Baumgardner, Hartland, Wis.; Mrs. William A. Neese, 637 S. Dewey Ave.; and Mrs. David Reynolds, Route 4, Lima; 11 grandchildren and a great-grandchild; three brothers, Dr. J. B. Poling, 731 W. Market St., a Lima physician; Clarence Poling, Denver, Colo.; Brice Poling, Toledo; three sisters, Mrs. Minta Kesler, 839 W. Wayne St.; Mrs. Elizabeth Roush, Springfield, and Mrs. Bertha Cheek, Alhambra, Calif.

She was the oldest member of the Allentown Methodist Church, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Grant Montgomery will officiate, assisted by Rev. Frank Sanderson. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, near Delphos. The body will remain in the Harter & Son Funeral Home, Delphos, where friends may call until noon Wednesday, after which the body will be removed to the church to await services.

The family suggests that those who wish contribute to the Rachel Miller Memorial Fund of Allentown Methodist Church instead of sending flowers.
