OBITUARY: George W. Huffman.
George W. Huffman, 73, of 1900 Searle St. died of a stroke Thursday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Huffman was born in Winterset and had lived in Des Moines for 32 years. He had been a security guard for Camp Dodge, retiring in 1977.
Surviving are his wife, Blanche, seven daughters, three sons, two brothers, Dean of Mansfield, Mo., and Raymond of Eugene, Ore.; and 18 grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today until service time Monday at the funeral home, where the family will meet with friends from 2 to 6 p.m. today.
