Bernard J. Allerellie, 69, of Marshall, formerly of Princeton, Ind., died at 12:35 a.m. Sunday, August 31, 1997 at his residence.

He was a retired foreman of the Trailmobile plant at Charleston and had formerly been employed by the BCBX Railroad and Pap-R-Products at Martinsville.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday September 3 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marshall with Rev. Jeff Grant as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by Clark County Post #90 and VFW Post #5975. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and 7 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall. A Liturgical Wake Service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lincolnland with envelopes available at the funeral home.

He was born on January 13, 1928 at Princeton, Ind., the son of John P. and Julianna (Liebentritt) Allerellie. He married Barbara York on November 11, 1975 at Evansville, Ind.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; four sons, Larry Allerellie of Florence, Ky., Chris Allerellie and Rick Allerellie both of Princeton, Ind. and Mike Allerellie of Owensville, Ind.; a step son, Tony Walls of Buford, Ga.; three daughters, Debbie Austill of Patoka, Ind., Starlene Birge of Frankline, Ind. and Angie Bertram of Mazelton, Ind; two step daughters, Vanessa Walls and Kelly Murphy both of Marritt Island, Fla; two sisters, Frances Bilderback and Roumilda Pegram both of Princeton, Ind.; seven grandchildren; three step grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Joseph Allerellie.

He was an Air Force Veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Clark Count Post #90 of the American Legion and VFW Post #5975. He served as Chaplain for area military graveside rites services.
