JONES COUNTY: Robert Edward McDade, Sr, 78, of Jackson Store Road, died Monday, December 12, 2011 at a local hospice facility. Interment at West View Cemetery in Milledgeville. Mr. Warren Massengale will officiate.
Mr. McDade was born December 02, 1933, in Putnam County and had lived in Jones County for the past thirteen years. He was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson McDade and Grace Newsome McDade. Mr. McDade attended Sardis Congregational Methodist Church and was retired from Rheem Manufacturing. He was preceded in death by a brother: Fred McDade and by a sister: Effie Mickler.
Mr. McDade is survived by his wife: Virginia Jackson McDade of Gray; son: Robert Edward McDade, Jr. of Jenkinsburg; sisters: Sara Harris of Milledgeville, Florence Bentley of Gray and Mary Blizzard of Milledgeville; brother: Walker McDade of Milledgeville and Frank McDade of Milledgeville; grandchildren: Robbie McDade, Jennifer Hilliard and Tina Blackman and was papa to eight great-grandchildren among many more.
