Mrs. Ada Blanche Brode, widow of Arnold Brode, of Saxton R. D., died suddenly at her home on Tuesday, April 30, 1946. The daughter of Aaron and Fayette (Shue) Speck, Mrs. Brode was born on July 30, 1880, in Liberty Township, Bedford County. She was married on September 10, 1898, to Arnold Brode, who died in 1926. These children survive: William H., David L., Orbison C., and Edwin E. Brode, all of Saxton R. D. Also surviving are three sisters: Mrs. Chester Moffett, Saxton; Mrs. Annie Hinkel, Saxton R. D.; and Mrs. Dollie Johnston, Duncansville. The Rev. A. M. Kerling will be in charge of funeral service in the Robert E. Huff Funeral Chapel at 2:30 EST on Thursday. Burial will be made in the Fockler Cemetery, Saxton.
