Phyllis E. Lahey, age 93, a resident of Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers, died early Thursday morning, October 2, 1997, at the Hamilton Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 1997, at Emanuel United Methodist church, Two Rivers. Pastor Roberta Thomson will officiate at the service with burial of the cremains in Pioneer Rest Cemetery, Two Rivers. Phyllis was born March 21, 1904, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Silas P. and Emma Theide Koeser. She attended schools in both Two Rivers and Ludington, Mich. She was a life time member of Emanuel United Methodist Church, Two Rivers, where she was extremely active in various church organizations. Phyllis was co-owner with Martha Gensman of the Economy Store in Two Rivers for eight years. On April 24, 1959, she married George R. Lahey at Madison, Wis. He preceded her in death May 5, 1972. Survivors include a step-daughter-in-law, Mrs. James (Welcome) Lahey; a step-granddaughter, Lyn Lahey; a step-great-granddaughter, Mary Welcome Jacobsen, all of Corvallis, Ore.; two step-grandsons, James and John Klecker; two sisters-in-law, Anne Koeser, formerly of Two Rivers, June Koeser, Elgin, Ill. Many nieces, nephews, and friends also survive. Besides her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by a step-son, James Lahey, a step-daughter, Anna Klecker; five brothers, Silas, Lloyd, William, Harold and Donald Koeser; an infant brother, Jerry; three sisters, Thelma LaFond, Mildred Lonzo, and Lois Green. Friends and relatives may call at Emanuel United Methodist Church after 6:30 p.m. Sunday until the time of service at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Emanuel United Methodist Church or the donors choice.
