NEW ALBANY-- Mr. Robert Wayne Grider, age 52, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, December 11th, 2011 at the Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN.
He was born in Muncie, IN, on Monday, September 7, 1959, the son of Bobby Joe and Ann Stewart Grider. He was a construction worker and of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Holten.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Grider of New Albany, IN; his mother and step-father, Ann (and Robert) Holten, of Palm Bay, FL; his children, Lindsey (and Ted) Corbin of Naples, FL, and Nicholas Grider of Lafayette, IN; his brothers, Bob Holten of Muncie, IN, Jerry Holten of Yorktown, IN, and Monte Holten of Florida; his sister, Terri; his grandchildren, Ava Kennedy Corbin and Nora Christine Corbin; and many special friends and relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 14th, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Murley Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 10 a.m. on Wednesday until the time of service.
