Lily peacefully passed away on January 3, 2007, to be with her Lord. She was surrounded by her husband and children.

Lily is remembered as deeply spiritual, spending time with friends and family. She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Goshen where she taught catechism for 27 years. Lily was a member of the Sociedad Guadalupana Edad de Oro and active in the Crusillo movement. Lily loved to cook and her passion was raising her children. She sewed dresses for her daughters for school and was picky about how her sons were dressed. With her tiny hands, Lily nourished her husband and children back to health when they were sick. Her hugs and kisses were special to her husband and children. Lily enjoyed playing the piano and listening to classical and Mexican music. She loved to travel to Texas to visit her mother and siblings.

Lily was born in Presidio, Texas on Oct. 25, 1933, to Ascencion and Gregoria Barriga who preceded her in death. Lily married Manuel Galindo on Aug. 15, 1949, and made their home in Loving, New Mexico. After two years, they moved to Visalia and eventually to Goshen.

She was preceded in death by parents, Ascencion and Gregoria Barriga; brother, Chon Barriaga and daughter, Estela Ortega.

She is survived by husband, Manuel J. Galindo of Goshen; sons, Frank Galindo of Goshen, Manuel Galindo Jr. of Visalia and Omero Galindo of Goshen; daughters, Elsa and husband Samuel Aleman of Visalia, Elia Mejia of Fresno, Delia Regalado of Tulare and Leticia and husband Manuel Mestas of Santa Maria; sisters, Emma Barriga of Arizona, Lucilla Renteria of Texas, Sylvia Holguin of Texas and Nelda Hernandez of Texas; brothers, Raul Barriga of Texas and Miguel Barriga of Texas; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; one new addition on the way; and numerous relatives.
