Zaidee, daughter of Edward and Laura Hille, born November 21st, 1878 died March 1st 1885.
At a meeting of the Preston Sabbath school March 15, 1885 the following memorial proceedings was adopted.
WHEREAS, it has pleased our Divine teacher to remove from our midst our beloved sister to that school beyond the skies, we reverently bow to the Master's decree, and with the dear Savior say, Father, thy will, not ours, be done.
We are taught in this dispensation of providence to fully understand words, viz:
Suffer little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven. The deceased, though young in years, has taught us this great lesson, to meekly endure the afflictions of the body, and wait with patience till the change comes; therefore be it
RESOLVED, that in the death of little Zaidee Hille our school has lost an honored member, a devoted scholar, genial classmate and beloved friend.
RESOLVED, that we, members of the Preston Sabbath school, most deeply sympathize with the parents, relatives and friends of the deceased in this, their time of sorrow.
RESOLVED, that these proceedings be inscribed on our Sabbath school record, also published in one or more of the Jasper county newspapers, and that a copy thereof be sent to the parents of the deceased.
