Thelma Francis Glover, Aug 21 1926 – December 10, 2011
Graveside Service, December 12, 2011

Thelma Francis Glover was born August 21, 1926 to parents Hobert Lee Lawson and Katie Verna Elswick in Mt. View, Oklahoma.
Thelma attended Mt. View School for twelve years and graduated from High School in 1944. Although involved in several school activities, the one thing she took the most pride in her was her excellent penmanship acquired while attending school and which she retained all of her life.
Thelma had several jobs throughout her life, working mostly in retail positions. She worked several years as a grocery store department manager during the 1970's and 80's and subsequently retired from that position.
Even though Thelma worked hard, she will be remembered most as a devoted mother and wife who dedicated her life to taking care of her family and providing a warm, loving home. She married Clarence Elmer "Teck" Glover on July 20th, 1944. Together, they raised three children; Tom, born in 1948, Terry, born in 1951 and Kay, born in 1959.
One of the things Thelma loved most of all was preparing meals and having the family all together for holidays. She was an excellent cook and will always be remembered for her "noodles" at Thanksgiving and "special cakes" for birthdays.
Thelma was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. For the past several years she was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Carnegie, Oklahoma. This is the same church that her mother and father attended and where her father served as a minister.
Thelma is preceded in death by her mother and father, Hobert and Verna Lawson, and husband, Teck Glover. She is survived by two sons; Tom Glover of Oklahoma City, Terry Glover of Mustang, one daughter: Kay Holsted of Carnegie, four grandchildren: Michelle Glover, John Glover, Alan Holsted, Kerra Holsted and one great-granddaughter: Carter Holsted.
Thelma was loved by many and we will miss her.
