CLAIRE M. DOOLITTLE
__Claire M. Doolittle, 71, of 111 Twenty-fifth street drive SE, a real estate and insurance agent here for many years, died suddenly Wednesday morning.
__Mr. Doolittle collapsed at the post office and was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Luke's hospital at 8:35 a.m.
__Born Oct. 29, 1892, in Norway, Ia., he was married to Leora Stone on July 25, 1919, in Cedar Rapids. Mr. Doolittle was associated with his son, Robert, in the real estate and insurance business, which was founded by his father, the late Allen A. Doolittle.
__He was a veteran of World war I.
__Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Mrs. Donald Waters of Jenkintown, Pa.; his son, of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. L. P. Mills of Cedar Rapids.
__Mr. Doolittle was a member of St. Paul's Methodist church, the Cedar Rapids Chamber of Commerce, the American Legion and the VFW.
__Memorial services: Turner chapel at 1:30 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Charles Q. Wallace. Burial: Cedar Memorial. Friends may call at the chapel after 4 p.m. Thursday.
