The remains of Mrs. Anna Louise Roesler, a former resident of this county and the mother of Mrs. A. Grapp of this city and Louis Roesler of Woodville, were brought to this city Monday evening and taken to the Grapp home. The funeral was held Tuesday from the Grapp home and the German Methodist church, Rev. Steiner officiating, and interment was made in Woodville cemetery. Mrs. Roesler died Saturday in Detroit, Mich., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Bierman, as the result of a fall, which she sustained two days before. The deceased was born in Prussia 92 years ago, and was married in that country to George Gotlieb Roesler in 1843. The family came to America in 1851, settling in Michigan City, Indiana, where they lived until 1882 when they moved to Woodville, Waseca county. Mrs. Roesler made her home there until 1906, since which time she has made her home with her children. Her husband died in Woodville in 1893. The deceased is survived by four daughters and two sons: Mrs. A. Grapp of this city, Mrs. H. Werdin of Glenwood, Mrs. Wm. Bierman of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. J. Gatzman of California, Louis Roesler of Woodville and Charles Roesler of St. Paul. Her sister, Mrs. Gustav Gehring of this county, a brother, Ferdinand Buscho of Wells, 32 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren also survive her. Deceased was a good, kind hearted woman, and had a throng of friends in this county, who regret her death and extend sympathy to the bereaved family. Those from out of town who attended her funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bierman of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. F. Werdin of Glenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Roesler of St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Goetzenberger of Minneapolis, Bernard Bierman, who is attending the state university, and Dr. George Grapp of Clinton.
